In 2021 we were pleased to join a group of funders involved in informal conversations about opportunities for women’s groups across the UK to being about change at local and national levels.
The discussion evolved into a more formal discussion and we made the link between our interests and ‘Routes to power and influence’.
As we talked we realised that there were things we already knew – but more that we didn’t. This lead to the commissioning of more detailed research.
You can read more about this on this blog by Cullagh Warnock, a Trustee of the Pilgrim Trust and the person who kept us all inspired and motivated as we participated in this work
The report with 17 recommendations – some of which we were able to apply when we opened for applications in October 2022 – can be found here: Routes to power & influence for UK women’s organisations
