The Women’s Fund for Scotland is a constituent fund of Foundation Scotland. Foundation Scotland provides our governance, accounting, support structure, management and reports to the Office of the Scottish Regulator (OSCR) on our behalf.
The Women’s Fund also uses Foundation Scotland’s grant-making services and expertise, which includes due diligence, application provision for beneficiaries, assessment, monitoring, evaluation, reporting and more.
We use Foundation Scotland’s charity number for our development work and Foundation Scotland provides management and support for our part-time Development Manager.

Foundation Scotland is a charitable company limited by guarantee, incorporated on 7th September 1994 and registered as a charity in September 1998. It began trading and operating in 1996. The organisation was established under a memorandum of association, which established the objects and powers of the organisation and is governed under its articles of association.
Foundation Scotland is part of a global network of 1,400 community foundations, which encourage philanthropy and strengthen the voluntary sectors in the countries, regions and towns in which they operate. There are 46 in the UK, and Foundation Scotland is the only community foundation in Scotland.
Their purpose is to be the professional hub of Scottish philanthropy providing lasting impact in Scotland’s communities. They offer charitable giving services for their clients making it effective, long-term and engaging.
