The grant would contribute towards delivering the organisation’s ‘Young Women’s Project.’ Total costs per year are for the salary of a part-time Youth Worker who will be working 16 hours per week (£9,276.28) and for the enrollment of young women into the youth achievement awards. (£723.30) ‘The Young Women’s Project’ aims to provide support to vulnerable women between the ages of 12 and 21 experiencing difficulties in their lives including low confidence, deteriorating mental health, homelessness and teenage pregnancy. The Youth Worker will deliver weekly group work and individual sessions with the aim of encouraging these young women to make the transition back into education, employment or training. It is expected that 50 young people in Midlothian will benefit from this service each year
