Accessibility Statement

Accessibility and Support

We are committed to making our funding accessible to grassroots women and girls’ organisations across Scotland.

If you require application guidance in an alternative format, including large print, plain language, or additional support, please contact Foundation Scotland, our grant making partner [WEB LINK or EMAIL LINK].

We recognise that many small organisations operate with limited capacity. We aim to keep our funding process clear, proportionate and transparent.

If English is not your first language, or if you require additional access support, please get in touch before applying.

We will make reasonable adjustments wherever possible.

Our Commitment to Accessibility

The Women’s Fund for Scotland is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for everyone.

As a Scottish charity funding grassroots women and girls’ organisations, we believe access and inclusion are fundamental to equality. We want everyone — including women and girls, donors, partners and community organisations — to be able to access our website and information with ease and dignity.

We are working to ensure our website meets the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standard. These guidelines outline best practice for making web content more accessible for people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, motor and cognitive impairments.

Accessibility is an ongoing process. We regularly review our website and content to improve usability and remove barriers wherever possible.

What We Are Doing

To support accessibility, we aim to:

  • Use clear, plain language
  • Structure content with logical headings
  • Ensure sufficient colour contrast
  • Provide alternative text for images
  • Enable keyboard navigation
  • Ensure compatibility with screen readers
  • Clearly label forms and interactive elements

We are committed to continual improvement as standards evolve.

Alternative Formats and Support

We recognise that many grassroots organisations operate with limited capacity and diverse access needs.

If you require information in an alternative format, including large print, plain text, accessible PDFs, or additional support with funding guidance, please contact Foundation Scotland.

We will make reasonable adjustments wherever possible.
