The women’s group takes place weekly and includes women from within refuge and those who have used their service in the community. It is a vital part of women’s move to becoming empowered through mutual support and sharing of experience, and through self designated activities and workshops increase self esteem and self confidence. The idea of a mural has been conceived by women wishing to produce a work of self expression and a statement of positivity and strength a testament of survival which will have a positive effect on women and children now and in the future.
