To run two 10 week IT courses for women to engage in learning IT and use the learning centre. The grant will cover the cost of promotion, tutors, room hire and admin costs. The IT courses will help the personal development of learners, improve their job opportunities and give them more confidence to continue their learning. The project could help women who are returning to work after bringing up a family, long term sickness and lack confidence. Having IT skills could open new on-line learning and job opportunities, which could allow learners to work from home and be with their families. 16 women will benefit.
