To pay for workshops concerning womens’ suffrage with women from a variety of ethnic backgrouds. The workshops would offer women the chance to learn new skills, such as bannermaking as they would produce visual and craft materials. It is aimed that Between 50 and 80 local women will be involved. The grant would be used to pay for art materials and venue/ equipment hire, catering, a creche and transportation costs. The workshops would lead towards a display on a Commemorative March in Edinburgh on the 9th October 2009. The workshop would promote links between women from different backgrounds, reducing isolation and promoting understanding.
