FEAT request £5,000 of funding towards the £6,050 delivery of their previously successful Employ your Mind project. Moving the focus to a younger female age group than previously, they will engage 8 hard-to-reach young women in a programme of four phases. Costs include employing an Occupational Therapist and Learning Coach for 126 hours each (£5,250), as well as resources and overheads (£800) The first phase will include personal development and cognitive remediation therapy (CRT) ? which can improve cognitive function and aid self-management of symptoms. Secondly the beneficiaries will enter into a programme of mentoring from which they will achieve an SQA Access Level 3 in self-awareness. Phase 3 focuses on vocational guidance and a Level 3 Steps to Work certificate, whist the final phase will aim to support them into employment, work experience or further development.
