The grant will contribute to the cost of employing two female sessional youth workers for 20 sessions (£800), expenses for celebration events (£750), volunteer expenses (£200), craft materials (£200), centre hire (£300), minibus hire (£300) and line management costs (£80). This will allow GO! Youth Trust to deliver a new bespoke project ‘Wonder’ – a 20 week programme for teenage girls to explore issues that they have identified as being important to them. The aim is to help address a growing number of young females facing battles with anxiety, leading to low school attendance and, hence, social isolation. 15 young women will benefit immediately as well as their families and future potential service users.
