We?d like to invest a grant in our growing Advocacy and Community Engagement programme, which includes the appointment of a new Advocacy & Community Engagement Manager and the development of our Experts by Experience group. We intend to host a series of storytelling workshops that will culminate in the production of a short film, in collaboration with a former Amma client with expertise in filmmaking. This short film will share firsthand accounts of the challenges, aspirations, and resilience of migrant mothers. It will help to challenge stereotypes and bring to life the real-world experiences of maternal health inequalities. This video will be used alongside Amma?s ?Birth Outcomes & Experiences Report? to highlight the disparities in perinatal care experienced by our client group. These resources will be shared through training sessions and as part of our strategic advocacy efforts with the Scottish Government and NHS. We will also share them on our website and social media to influence public opinion.
