The grant will contribute towards the six month wellbeing project costs, including production and mailing of two newsletters, (only 30% of members are online,) £768.50, arts materials, £152.70, two tablets, stylus and headphones £500, staff mileage £158, outdoor activities equipment: pedometers and walking poles £236.50, Room Hire £624, staffing costs £2,840, project management/core costs @ 8% of total, £467 and project monitoring and evaluation, £164. Walking poles will be trialled as the majority of participants are significantly unfit with weight-related issues including bad knees/hips and the trial will see if the poles help them with walking. Some 88 women will benefit from bespoke, co-produced activities generating peer support, relationship building, consciousness-raising, confidence-building, Group collaboration and the promotion of better physical and mental well-being activities.
