The grant will cover the full cost of recruiting and training women volunteers to further develop the charity?s services. The project aims to hold 2 volunteer recruitment days and follow up with structured training to build their skills, confidence and ability to deliver the organisation?s support services to female service users. With victim numbers increasing and volunteer numbers decreasing recently, the group has identified a need for more women volunteers to meet the demand from women. Project costs include: venue hire for training and recruitment events (£300); travel expenses for volunteers (£400); publicity material for events (£400); training costs for new volunteers (£500); provisions/refreshments for events (£150); print, stationery and postage costs (£50) and sessional worker salary (£200). Around 50 women will benefit comprising volunteers and those supported by the new volunteers.
