A grant will support the provision of a programme of dance workshops for 7 women in Dundee affected by domestic abuse. It will cover the cost of workshop leaders time (£665), travel expenses (£106) and admin costs (£123, materials (£50). The workshop will be run in partnership with Women?s Aid in Dundee and Women?s Centre for Rape and Sexual Abuse. The choreographer will work with the women in preparation for the workshops to ensure those who participate will gain maximum benefit. The content of the workshops will be led by the needs of the women. They aim to help the women involved identify and express some of the challenging issues and feelings they have because of their experience of abuse.
