Full description
To put on an event to raise awareness of the work done by women suffragists in Scotland. Their aim is to create a re-enactment of the 1909 Edinburgh Women's Suffrage Procession on 10th October 2009. They want to work with individual women and women's organisations to coordinate activities and promote women's discussion and engagement in the political process. The grant will go towards the cost of sessional fees for administrative support and sessional fees for a community arts worker to support activities leading up to the re-enactment.
