After ten years of operation HAPIS employed a part-time Co-ordinator in March 2011. This application is for funds to allow the post to continue, January ? December 2012] and to increase the number of hours worked by the employee. The Co-ordinator is employed on a freelance basis and is paid an hourly rate plus travel and IT expenses. The group wish to increase the hours worked to 25 each week. Although originally employed to work 5 hours per week, since being in post the Co-ordinator has worked hours as required, with regular monthly hours ranging from 40 to 90 depending upon workload. Having a Co-ordinator in post ensures efficiency and continuity for service users and removes the burden of day to day service delivery from volunteers. The activity is sustainable so long as resources can be found to support the post.
