Full description
£9,750 of support is requested towards delivering their My Period: Menstrual Education for All project (£23,550). This includes staffing (£7,770), workshop costs (£1,200) and educational resources (£780). Using a ?train the trainer? model, Hey Girls provide workshops for individuals working in community settings to educate women and girls about menstruation, managing symptoms and sanitary product choices. Funding from the Tampon Tax will subsidise delivery to third sector groups. Over the course of 6 workshops, 60 employees/volunteers will attend from approximately 40 organisations. These will include charities focusing on homelessness, sex workers, women?s centres and food banks. They expect each individual to then use the training and resource packs to deliver at least 1 session to their users, reaching an estimated 600 women/girls.
