Full description
With the 10th charity anniversary coming up in 2023, we are keen to establish a programme of community activities. One of which will be a weekly/bimonthly/monthly group for women to safely share about mental health issues that might affect them. With the help of a counsellor and/or outdoor facilitator we would like to improve women's mental health and wellbeing by sharing their stories in a safe space, connecting them to a group of like-minded women and creating memories in a social group setting. Sometimes 121 sessions are not suitable/wanted by those reaching out to Joshua Nolan Foundation, and with loneliness being a big issue leading to anxiety, depression and more, we want the community activity to be there for them alongside 121 counselling/instead of counselling, or once they have completed 121 therapy. This group will support them in their mental health journey and provide a space to grow in confidence, empower them to share about their mental health, and so much more. We have yoga teachers on hand, outdoor mindfulness and adventure facilitators, counsellors, and various other professionals who could all contribute to this programme to provide a varied community offering.
