This training day will increase helping skills/knowledge base for 25 volunteer mothers to support other mothers in their communities. Group and members from all over Scotland are invited to participate. Each volunteer helps an average of 80 mothers per year through telephone calls, email or postal correspondence. Each group meets in local communities once a or twice a month with 8-10 mothers attending with their babies each meeting. Optimal feeding for children improves health and helping mother to meet the needs of their babies enhances parent/child relationships.
