A grant of £2725 will cover the costs of one sessional worker continuing to support an established women?s group from March 2010 to March 2011.The grant will pay for planning and delivery time for 40 weekly sessions and contribute to purchasing arts & crafts materials. The group is one of a number of initiatives run by LINKES, a community led organisation supporting the diverse community living in the Lincoln flats in Scotstounhill, an area of significant deprivation in West Glagow. The group will continue its mixed programme of arts, health and issue based sessions but focus on developing their enterprising ideas for marketing some of their art products ? an idea they have already trialled locally. They hope this will help develop the sustainability of the group which has become a model locally for promoting greater integration amongst the women and developing their confidence and own local support networks
