The grant will contribute towards the cost of fabric and materials (£900), sewing accessories (£200), jewellery embellishments (£600), refreshments (£100), miscellaneous items (£200). (Miscellaneous item costs will cover costs for stamps, stationary, cards for service users, cake for birthday celebrations and paper towels). This will allow LLLG to continue an already popular and successful sessions of sewing and jewellery making classes. These group activities have already allowed participants to develop social skills as well as new skills in the relevant activities. Equipment (sewing machines etc.) is already available through a previous funding award. Participants are keen to continue the programme of classes. It?s estimated that 36 people will benefit, and this will be a mixture of people with mental health issues and their carers.
