MIN is applying for funding to deliver 37 sessions with our Oasis Women?s Group. Each week the group welcomes between 20 – 25 women who are from various backgrounds; the majority of participants are seeking asylum in the UK or have recently been granted refugee status. The group is very mixed with many different cultures and languages represented. It is a very unique group and one which MIN has been developing for 21 years. The group meets weekly on Thursday afternoons in Maryhill Community Centre. We are applying for funding to cover the costs of the creche facility, access costs for bus fares, some light refreshments and also a proportion of facilitator fees. We already have match funding for volunteer support for the group, as well as partnership funding for 50% of 8 of the creche bookings, as well 20% of costs relating to facilitators.
