The grant would contribute towards delivering the organisation?s ?Gain and Sustain? programme. Total costs per year are to cover 50% of the salary of a full time Project Worker (£10,000). The ?Gain and Sustain? project aims to provide specialised support for vulnerable young women with substance abuse issues. The Project Worker will be responsible for facilitating modules examining subjects ranging from the effects of substance abuse to domestic abuse and healthy eating. They will also work with each young women individually with the aim of helping them to become more confident mothers and access training that will improve their employment opportunities. Sessions will be held weekly at OASIS?s youth addiction facility and it is expected that 25 young women will benefit from the service each year.
