The grant will be used to help provide training and resources for staff, lone parents and female volunteers, to improve their skills and knowledge in childcare, parenting and health/medical issues. Children and families will benefit from the voluntary sector staff having skills and knowledge to assist them in caring for their children, promoting their well being and safety and actively listening and responding to their views, thoughts and ideas. Staff and volunteers will benefit from the opportunity to gain confidence, skills and knowledge identified as areas of development. Setting up a resource library for parents, staff and volunteers will encourage parents to drop in and have access to information, it will help them to engage with hard to reach clients with meaningful resources and information.
