The grant will contribute to the cost of providing a new, much-needed personal hygiene outreach service to homeless and poverty-experienced women in Dundee who are facing mental health and/or substance misuse issues, by providing them with sanitary products, hygiene wipes and a small selection of toiletries including deodorant, to enable them to maintain dignity and good hygiene. It is hoped that 60 individuals will use the service on a monthly basis over the course of a year. Project costs over a year are one staff member x 9 hours per week £5,674, 300 packs at approximately £3.00 each totalling £900, and administrative costs of £960.
