The grant will be used towards the cost of hiring a meeting room in the local community center and running costs for the group, e.g. phone, stationary, postage. The room hire is two hours per week at £20.50 per hour over a 45 week period. This amounts to £1845. Administration costs have been calculated at £120. This will help to fund the older women?s group. Until three months ago the whole group met together but it was becoming apparent that the older and younger women had different interests and needs and it was decided to split them. This has worked very well but has increased their outgoings in terms of room hire. The content will focus on arts and craft, exercise, IT learning, cooking sessions, outings and educational classes.
