Full description
RASAC P&K are seeking support to purchase a laptop for our group worker to be able to make videos from home and coordinate the sending of these via vimeo to survivors who usually access our group programmes. We will also extend the invitation to other survivors currently in service. Video's will be focused on specific topics such as art, creative writing, self-care, mindfulness techniques. We want survivors who usually access our groups but who are not still in therapeutic support to remain connected to each other, and to the group programme despite the current situation which we are all in. Consultation took place before lockdown about a new group programme and this included mindfulness, guided meditation and creative writing. We are therefore keen to ensure that we are able to offer these as soon as possible.
At this time we are running a social media campaign on self-care during COVID19. Our Impact Worker will benefit from the use of vimeo by being able to produce online videos which promote self-care during this time. We also hope to adapt some of our resources, such as our 'trauma booklet' which provides resources such as a self-care tool kit to video form for circulation on social media.
