The grant would cover the cost of staff (30hrs @ £40 per hour = £2,400); room hire (30 x £25ph = £750); course materials (£75); publicity (£100); and refreshments (£720) to host ?The Fan Club?, an informal and safe space facilitated by Talk Matters for women experiencing menopause and perimenopause to share experiences, provide support, therapeutic benefit, relaxation and information. The Fan Club is delivered in a block of five, two-hour long sessions on a Saturday morning. The main intervention technique used is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), an established approach for a variety of mental health conditions including anxiety and low mood which can be helpful for tackling everyday issues. This format would be run three times over the year with different participants benefiting 30 women in total.
