The grant would contribute to the cost of employing 2 story tellers and freelance artists to facilitate 2 groups ? women and their children (10- 2 hour sessions x 2 sets of participants over 20 weeks ? up to 10 participants in each session) The work will focus on women who have experienced significant trauma, experience poor mental/physical health, chronic low self-esteem/self-confidence, addiction and social isolation. Most of the children will have experienced some form of disadvantage and/or trauma. Some will have witnessed their mother?s abuse or experienced abuse themselves 2x Storytellers -10% of FT post = £4796, Freelance Artists= £3000, Support Worker = £1500, Line Management & Supervision = £600, Administration support = £400, Materials, refreshments and transport -£1320.
