Welcome to our March 2025 Grant Partners

We’re pleased to announce that 28 grassroots organisations from across Scotland have been awarded grants through the Women’s Fund for Scotland’s most recent funding round. These groups are set to make an important impact in their communities – with an estimated 3,641 women and girls expected to benefit from the funded projects.

Our funding call was open from 7th October to 18th November 2024 and during that time we received 116 completed applications, with total project costs reaching over £1.05 million and funding requests of more than £550,000. It shows that the demand for flexible, accessible support for women and girls remains high across the country.

Following a detailed assessment process, 37 applications were taken forward for full consideration. We were joined by two expert sector representatives on the grant panel, which met at the end of February 2025 to make final funding decisions.

We’ve awarded a total of £114,963 to support this inspiring cohort of community-led initiatives. The grants span 14 local authority areas, with 20 organisations receiving a Women’s Fund for Scotland grant for the first time.

Who We’re Funding

The successful groups represent a diverse mix of communities, characteristics, and priorities. This round saw us invest in five of our six strategic themes — with our theme responding to poverty the only theme not represented in this particular cycle.

We’re especially proud to support smaller grassroots groups:

  • 13 organisations have an income of less than £100,000, with two reporting no income in the previous financial year.
  • 5 organisations have incomes between £100,000 and £200,000
  • 7 organisations between £200,000 and £300,000
  • 2 organisations over £300,000
  • 1 organisation with income over £400,000
