The grant requested is to support the cost of up to 30 women attending the Freedom training programme, which is aimed at helping women make positive life choices and prevent domestic abuse.
To pay for venue hire, hospitality, speaker’s expenses and gifts for a week long programme of events to celebrate the centenary of International Women’s Day in 2011.
To provide creche facilities for local women whilst they access various parenting, craft and physical activities aimed at improving their mental and physical wellbeing.
To part-fund the running costs of the organisation over a 6 month period in order to enable them to train experienced local parents as mentors who can then visit families in their own home.
To provide a range of 128 complementary therapy sessionss to female service users to enable them to manage the difficult process of counselling and healing from sexual abuse.
to purchase equipment to allow the network to set up an administration service for other local voluntary sector agencies
