Big News!
Things are happening at Women’s Fund for Scotland. After a hiatus in the latter half of 2012 the women making up the Development Board have big plans.
An ideas day has been held, views were sought and influential women were consulted. A plan was prepared, recruitment got underway and by February 2013 WFS had its first member of staff, Shona Blakeley, in post as Fundraising Manager hosted by Foundation Scotland.
WFS plan to re-launch later in 2013 by kick-starting their grant making and the race is on to secure funds for this purpose. The Fund will be focusing on the thematic areas of building skills, improving health and well-being, building social networks and moving on from violence.
The Fund has ambitious income targets. More income secured means that more grants can be made for the benefit of women across Scotland. Small grants make a big difference. Your help could change someone’s life.
