Grant Making: donations into the fund between November 2013 and April 2016 allowed us to make grants totaling over £194,000. A one-off grant from HMRC allowed us to make grants of £510,000 in 2016/2017.
In 2018 we made grants over £280,000
In 2019 we made grants of over £180,000
Reserves: our endowment Fund – which is our reserve fund – currently has a value of around £200,000
Fundraising: we are a fundraising grant maker, raising funds for three areas – to keep making grants, to cover our core costs and to grow our endowment
Core costs: are covered by private donations already received and restricted for this purpose and include the employment of a part-time Executive Director.
This investment enables the Executive Director to focus on raising income to meet the mission of the Women’s Fund for Scotland which is “to make small grants to projects across Scotland that support women’s growth, self-sufficiency and social economic equality”
If you would like to make a gift to support the work of the Women’s Fund for Scotland or discuss philanthropy planning for the benefit of women and girls, please e-mail our Executive Director, Shona Blakeley.
