Grant Making: donations into the fund since November 2013 have allowed us to make grants totaling over £162,000 with funding still available for applicants.
Reserves: our Capital Fund – which is our reserve fund – currently has a value of almost £200,000.
Fundraising; we wish to raise funds so that we can make grants of £165,000 in 2016 – 2017, £200,000 in 2017 – 2018 and £235,000 in 2018 – 2019. WFS is re-establishing its grant making aims, hence the smaller sum now with growth planned for the future.
Core costs: are covered by private donations already received and restricted for this purpose and include the employment of a part-time Development Manager.
This investment enables the Development Manager to focus on raising income to meet the mission of the Women’s Fund for Scotland which is “to make small grants to projects across Scotland that support women’s growth, self-sufficiency and social economic equality”
At the end of the financial year 2015/2016 we have:
|Annual Grant making income||£108, 098|
|Grant making spend||£75,358|
If you would like to make a gift to support the work of the Women’s Fund for Scotland or discuss philanthropy planning, please e-mail our Development Manager, Shona Blakeley.
