Following today’s Budget by George Osborne, we are extremely pleased that the Women’s Fund for Scotland has been chosen to receive £600,000 of funding from the ‘Tampon Tax’ Fund.
Shona Blakeley, Development Manager for the Women’s Fund for Scotland said, “We are delighted at today’s announcement by the UK Treasury. This is a significant boost for the Women’s Fund for Scotland and will enable us to invest even more in Scottish women. Our vision is to support those projects which either build skills and confidence; improve health and well –being; , build social networks or to move on from violence. We know that by supporting women, we are not only making a difference to an individual’s life, but her family and the wider community.”
