The grant will contribute towards the cost of running a series of Women?s empowerment workshops. These workshops will be designed and delivered jointly by our training & prevention worker and our groups coordinator. The workshops will take place within our Women?s Hub in Miller Road, Ayr and will be delivered weekly between May-August. The hub is a welcoming safe space, with a therapeutic, friendly vibe, an ideal setting for Women?s empowerment. The workshops will aim to empower women by achieving the following specific objectives -
? Build confidence and self-esteem - by using empowerment tools/strategies.
? Improve mental health and wellbeing - by providing and practicing self care methods/tips.
? Form supportive, social relationships between the women - by using team building activities.
These objectives will be measured through our training & prevention worker carrying out progress assessments during and after the workshops, while also seeking feedback from the participants using a specific feedback template/report.
The grant will contribute towards the salaries of our training & prevention worker and groups coordinator, for time spent in the development and delivery of the workshops. It will be used to purchase equipment for the workshops including: stationary, refreshments and advertising materials.
