Full description
The grant will contribute to the cost of a weekend away for group members. They plan to go to Centre Parcs in the Lake District. They have visited this location before and everyone who attended enjoyed it. They plan to book at least three lodges, depending on demand and expect at least 18 members to attend. The trip will cost around £4000 and this grant will allow them to reduce the costs for each participant to ensure that it is accessible and affordable to all, especially those most in need of a break. Although the group doesn?t ask about member?s financial positions, it is felt that not all of the members could afford the holiday at full price but with subsidised availability, everyone can attend without financial implications. The holiday will help to improve the general health and well-being of those who take part, reduce social isolation and provide women with a network of support and friendship.
