Full description
To meet the increasing demand for intensive one to one support at times of deepest crises by employing p/time personal support worker.
Employ 1 p/time personal support sessional worker @ 7 hrs week, £5460 per annum, matched from donor. Average 2 women per week over avg of 6 weeks but must be flexible. Worker to be appropriately qualified, receive further training & supervision from our experienced Committee members.
We will reach additional 24 women each year to meet demand. Average 2 per week, average support length approx. 6 weeks but this must be flexible. Aim to avoid further abuse, potential tragedy. .
This responds to an increasingly complex and harrowing situations we are seeing. Covid. Example is Dana, after 20 years fled in despair from abuse, without money, vehicle or a plan. Discovered by a hiker before she bled to death, and now supported by us with personal support to rebuild her life. Her story is sadly not unique.
Time freed also provides additional 1 x 2.5 hr course sessions per week each lasting 6 weeks with 8 attendees, total attendees ( 8 sessional blocks, over 48 weeks pa), 64 people. Using safe community settings to preserve dignity and, often of necessity, identification.
