As stated at section 2 above our management committee the decision at our last management committee meeting on 4th March 2020 to cancel all monthly membership fee payments from our young females members because we had ceased the delivery our core project activities. This decision also reflected the high probability that many of our client's parents would be unable to afford to continue to pay monthly membership fees due to financial issues related to COVID 19. It is expected that this unavoidable decision will leave our project with a minimum deficit of £10,800 (unrestricted funds) in our annual project budget in the period August 2020 to January 2021. We currently receive funds equating to £35,000 per annum from Young Start (Big Lottery Community Fund) towards the joint annual salary costs of £49,000 for our project manager and football coaching coordinator. Glasgow Girls FC has agreed to contribute £14,000 towards the total salary costs for these two critical posts over the agreed funding period with Young Start (Big Lottery Community Fund) . However, taking account of the expected shortfall in unrestricted income arising from the unavoidable and unexpected shortfall in membership fee payments our project will experience difficulty in match funding these posts in the period August 2020 to January 2020. For this reason we are seeking support from various sources to cover the anticipated financial shortfall beyond the Coronavirus outbreak and we are requesting the sum of £4,000 from The Women's Fund for Scotland to partially offset this shortfall.
