This application is towards the cost of providing 20 x 2 hour social activities, primarily music, book sessions and nutrition activities, for mothers who have completed their time of therapy or counselling but would still benefit from structured contact with the project and other mums. The cost breakdown includes clinical co-ordinator and administrator?s time (£1,300), travel expenses for crèche volunteer staff (£268), materials for sessions (£268) and room hire (£164). The mothers would attend with their babies to take part in activities and be with a wider circle of mothers and babies in a supportive environment which they are familiar and comfortable with. The clinical coordinator time would be used to decide which mothers would most benefit, how long they should come for, what the service should be to meet these needs as well as to lead the activities. The administrator would organise outside assistance and internal volunteers where needed as well as co-ordinating the running of the sessions. They will find the £64 remaining total project cost from their own small reserves and around 30 mothers would benefit from this extension of service.
