Improving Your Health & Wellbeing workshops: focussing on the women's strengths and inviting them to share their knowledge, wisdom, opinions and experiences on the journey to improved health & wellbeing,
An online service, begun during COVID, we have continued due to popular demand and which often act as an entry point for our services. Being online reduces barriers for the women. 1) geography; we are able to support women across Scotland, including Orkney, Caithness and the central belt. 2) home based: the women can access the service without the need to navigate new environments 3) engage with their camera off. If previous substance users the women can be self-conscious about their appearance 4) the women only need divulge their first name. We support the women to access the internet if their IT skills are limited and can loan devices if needed.
12 workshops: once per week over a 4-week period, repeated 3 times over the funding period. Each workshop is standalone or builds on the previous.
The person delivering the workshops will report directly to the CEO who has overall responsibility on a day to day basis. Our Board meet 9 times per year with ultimate financial responsibility; ensuring the organisation meets its charitable aims.
