Full description
The funding will provide an increase of 7 hours per week of a support worker's post and associated organisational overheads/management (£10,000). They currently provide 49 hours of support worker time each week and have secured additional income to increase this by 7 to 56 hours. A WFS grant would increase total support worker hours from 56 to 63 per week and strengthen core sustainability. The Support Worker will provide telephone, face to face, email and Skype support to women aged over 13 as well as provide information, advice and guidance to partner agencies whose service users have experienced rape or sexual abuse. She will also cover Support Line shifts as well as holding a caseload of survivors with whom she is working longer term on a 1:1 basis. It is expected that 45 women will benefit.
