To contribute towards a Curling event to celebrate International Women's Day. This sport is unique in that it offers an opportunity to compete at world level, where it is a requirement that teams must be of mixed gender. This event aims to encourage participation of women in sport generally, and to promote wheelchair curling in South Lanarkshire and throughout Scotland. It will also encourage integration between disabled and able bodied curlers. It is anticipated that 32 people will benefit from this event.
