Full description
A fourteen-week 90-minute-long free women?s wellbeing class involving boxercise and yoga promoting health (physical and mental), teaching self-defence, and provide a safe place to talk/destress. Starting from the 7th of February until the 16th of May, Tuesday nights 18:00-19:30 at Southside Boxing Academy & Community Hub for 50 women and girls aged over 13 years old. The funding will go towards a project coordinator (4 hours for, admin, promotion, session planning set up and close), two coaches (2 hours set up and close), independent yoga instructor (1 hour) and venue/equipment hire. The class will be fully female led, and be open to all levels of fitness, also trying to build good social connections, and future opportunities for women. The main benefit of the programme is that it is free with access to sport and fitness, will improve health and wellbeing, build skills and confidence, and potentially lead to future volunteer/employment opportunities within the organisation.
