Full description
We will offer 1-2-1 peer support for autistic women.
Based on a mental health peer support model. we will use peer-based recovery practice to facilitate increased wellbeing and supporting autistic women to develop a positive autistic identity.
A key aim of the project is to work with those women who need extra support before or in addition to accessing group-based serves and activities.
The project will be delivered by an autistic project worker who is qualified in Mental Health Peer Support through a specific lens of autistic women?s mental health.
We will offer those who access the project 8 x 1-2-1 sessions each, giving them a space to process their identity and work towards identified wellbeing goals.
Sessions will take place online, though in some cases they may take place in person where geography allows.
The funding will pay for the part time hours of the project worker to deliver this 1-2-1 support.
