Home Start Dundee provides volunteers to support vulnerable families in their own homes. The grant would allow them to provide three outings for families, two pampering days for parents and a meal to thank their volunteers. These would take place from April 2009 ? April 2010. Many of the families suffer from multiple deprivations, such as low income, poor education and poor mental health and these days away would allow them to have constructive experiences that they would not otherwise have access to. The volunteers visit families on a weekly basis throughout the year and the meal for them is a way to thank them and have contact away from the structured training programme.
