Full description
Black women into leadership program is designed to inspire, empower and promote marginalised and deprived BAME women living in West Lothian to overcome the barriers that exclude and deny them equal representation and participation in leadership positions to be able to lend their voices to policies and decisions that affect them. This program will provide black women with tools necessary for addressing a unique set of inequality challenges and limiting biases BAME women continue to face in their daily lives in the Scottish society. There will be training sessions where the women will learn how to build their confidence, leadership finesse, visibility, and influence to fuel their advancement and drive a meaningful change in their communities. Through a combination of extensive professional coaching and powerful experiential exercises, they will develop a deep understanding of themselves as change makers, enhance their desire to move up, and reflect on personal leadership development. Shared lived experiences of leadership journey of senior women leaders will help to explore their own leadership context and gain invaluable insights on how to navigate it effectively.
