The grant will be used to support a 6-week training/coaching course (one day a week) for 8 women in Inverness. The women will be mainly single parents referred to WIC from Women?s Aid Centre and ?Working with Families? .WIC has worked with both agencies before. This course follows on from a success pilot run with ?Working with Families?. The aim of the course is to support these women to move on in their lives to further education, volunteering or employment and involve them to become more active in their community. The coaching element is key as it provides a one to one personalised approach that supports the training aspect.
