The Women’s Fund for Scotland will be contacting groups via our grant maker Foundation Scotland. Those that have recently received funding and support from WFS will be asked what emergency funding they need to keep them going during the current crisis. We have limited funding available and are committed to doing what we can to support our funded groups.
Supporters of WFS have pledged funding to help support organisations doing crucial work to help women and girls throughout Scotland in these difficult times.
However, early indications are that more funding is needed and WFS would welcome additional support from major donors to help them distribute essential funding to ensure groups doing crucial work in their communities can continue.
Shona Blakeley, Executive Director of WFS added,
“We want to ensure that groups we know are doing valuable work on the ground and have received funding from us before get the additional emergency support they need to ‘keep the lights on’ during this difficult time.”
If you feel you can help by donating funds to WFS, please contact me directly on shona@womensfundscotland.org or donate through our Just Giving page on our website womensfundscotland.org. We know time is of the essence and we will be in touch with groups.
