To cover the cost of providing 26 weeks of support and training for women preparing for employment, including CV writing, interview techniques and confidence building.
To contribute towards the cost of an event to celebrate the centenary of International Women’s Day ‘a way to go’ as inclusively as possible across highland, addressing rural needs and giving a voice to ethnic minority women.
To cover the cost of 6 training events over 6 weeks focussing on confidence building and personal development training for disadvantaged women. The reduced grant includes not providing refreshments for the participants and finding a free/cheaper venue.
To contribute towards the cost of the ‘Women coping with less, cheerfully’ International Women’s Day event 2010.
To pay for the continuation of the IT training that the group provide. Costs include a tutor, venue hire and insurance.
To arrange a celebratory International Women’s Day linked to 2009 Year of Homecoming- showcasing women’s skills in homemaking and exploring women feeling ‘at home’ in a new place.
